Villagers Mbun Checks and Lubuk Peureulak Pempeng of the City District will continue to occupy land Permai PT Padang Palma (PPP) belonging to Sime Darby Group Malaysia Minamas until the dispute is finalized.
The action is in protest of the citizens because of land disputes between citizens and palm oil companies are still not finished. Check Mbun Geuchik Village, Zaini M, said that they had to wait four months to find a solution to the conflict related to land.
"We also have submitted to the Government of East Aceh, but until now there has been no resolution, we have to convey this action to the local government as regent, the Police and Muspika," he said via mobile phone connection, today.
